Robin Anne Ettles is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Amiskwacîwâskahikan, also known as Edmonton, located on Treaty 6 Territory. She works in literature, television and film, and music. As a freelance bassist and guitarist, she has toured parts of North America, Europe, and Australia, and continues to accompany artists of different genres. In addition to having created musical scores for documentaries airing on Radio-Canada, she participated as on-camera reader for the award-winning film The Geographies of DAR – David Adams Richards. With her own foray into writing, she landed the 2020 Rubery Book Award for self-published short fiction for her first book of short stories. Her second book of short stories entitled this is all we know is one of three finalists in the fiction category of the 2025 Whistler Independent Book Awards. Recent adventures involve a screenplay adaptation of a story from the new book; and playing in Ladies of the Canyon, a production of Harmony House on PEI.

“… Snappy, lucid stories with well realised scenes and strong characterisation. There are some very, very good turns of phrase, and the construction of each story is extremely adept. Brilliant.”
